Panaway was created by Gary Young following a severe injury to the ligaments in his leg. Panaway is a VERY popular blend for humans, but it will be for your pets as well! It is great for dogs with an active lifestyle.
Panaway
Panaway is a blend of 4 different oils:
- Wintergreen – Studied extensively for its ability to reduce occasional discomfort.
- Clove – Used in the dental industry to numb the gums and teeth.
- Peppermint – University of Kiel researchers found that peppermint lessened needed head support in a double-blind placebo-controlled cross over study!
- Helichyrsum – It’s highly recommended for scar tissue. Topically it helps to reduce stiffness and provides joint support.
Panaway is good for supporting joints and to help increase circulation. It is also valuable for relieving discomfort and relaxing the muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
How To Use Panaway
This oil blend can be used alone or in addition to other essential oils that aid in general discomfort. Using a moist towel over the area increases the effectiveness of the oils.
- Panaway is perfect after a strenuous exercise or workout, long run or competition.
- Dilute based on your dog’s weight, then layer Copaiba on top for an extra relaxing effect.
- Combine 1 drop of PanAway with 1 cup coconut oil (gently melted) and 2 T jojoba oil. Place in a squeeze bottle of choice and use a little bit to massage onto your pet’s legs and/or back after a long day of play or activity. I use the oil directly on my dogs, but you can dilute it this way for smaller dogs. Note – many think this blend smells like root beer!
