Lesson 9 of 11
In Progress

Release

Kara Edstrom March 16, 2021

Let go of the past! Negative energy goes into the blood and then the liver for cleansing, where toxins can remain trapped. Thus, the liver becomes a storage place for anger, resentment, bitterness, hatred, jealousy, envy, addictions, and a host of destructive feelings. The liver is the fear factory.

Release

Release is a helpful blend to release anger and memory trauma from the liver in order to create emotional well-being. Its relaxing aroma facilitates the ability to let go of frustration. It also promotes harmony and balance when diffused. It helps open the subconscious mind through pineal stimulation to release deep-seated trauma. It is one of the most powerful of the emotionally supporting essential oil blends.

Release can be used to release feelings such as dejection, fear of success, holding back, loss of identity, love being conditional, rebellion, being wrong.

Why Use Release?

If emotions are slow to come forward when using the Feelings Collection oils, then go to Release. This blend is more for emotional support than physical support.

Everyday pressure can come from any part of your life – work, relationships, errands, school. Essential oils can help you deal with the ups and downs associated with the daily grind. But if someone wronged you and you can’t seem to let the anger go, use Release essential oil and forge your way to forgiveness.

Release lets you move on from where you were stuck. So many people use their emotions from the past to get attention or be a martyr or control people. But then they are controlled by those emotions as well.

When you are in present time (because you just used that oil), it’s safe for you to go back in the past, recognize emotions and release them. When an emotion comes up, ask yourself, does it serve me? If no, then LET IT GO! Release it.

How do you know if you have let an emotion go? If you revisit it, and do not feel an emotion from it; or when you can talk about it like looking at a magazine article. When you have changed the DNA on the blueprint, then it will be gone.

What’s In Release:

  • Lavandin ( Lavendula hybrida): Purifies the body and may regenerate tissue.
  • Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annum): Helps us to release accumulated anger and recurring thoughts; enhances a feeling of self-determination.
  • Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata): Supports relaxation, balances yin and yang energies, and increases self-confidence.
  • Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens): Stimulates nerves and hormone system; its fragrance encourages us to leave unpleasant memories behind and increase inspiration.
  • Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood (Santalum album): Due to its high percentage in sesquiterpenes, Sandalwood stimulates our pineal gland and limbic system. It enables us to become silent and dive into meditation. Sandalwood may release unfavorable cellular memories and reprogram the cells.
  • Olive oil
  • Other essential oils, such as Grapefruit, Tangerine, Spearmint, Lemon, Blue Cypress, Davana, Kaffir Lime, Ocotea, Jasmine, Chamomilla Recutita, and Rose.

Release and teens

Let’s talk teens. It’s no secret that teens are emotional. Lots of changes are going on in their bodies. They are transitioning from childhood into adulthood and often struggle with being dependent on their parents while having a strong desire to be independent. They may also feel overwhelmed by the emotional and physical changes they are experiencing.

Giving teenagers tools to release unwanted emotions can be very helpful in creating an emotionally healthy teen, allowing them to feel and process in a healthy manner.

Movement can be used in various forms of intensity to work through or release different emotions. Many people find high-intensity fitness, such as running or sports like boxing, to be successful in releasing stressors and frustration, while others may find slow intentional movement, like yoga, great for releasing anxious feelings and cultivating a sense of peace.

Diffusing Release is a simple tool anyone can use, and it is very effective to help feel and process emotions such as anger, resentment, or guilt.

How To Use Release

Release is for aromatic or topical use.

  • Apply to the bottoms of feet and behind the ears.
  • Apply 2-4 drops directly below your throat above your clavicle.
  • Massage 3-4 couple drops over your Liver, or use a compress. You can rub it over the right foot, too.
  • Diffuse 4-6 drops up to 1 hour 3 times daily.
  • Add 10 drops of Release to your bathwater. Then put Surrender in the diffuser.
  • Feeling irritable? Wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Apply Release to your pulse points or wear over your heart before you blow up and do some real damage.
  • Get a passive aggressive email in your inbox? Inhale some Release to let it go before you respond with something you’ll regret.
  • The actions of a coworker make you mad? Diffuse some Release and call a friend to talk it out.
  • Gently rub oil between your hands and take a deep breath while cupping your hands close to your nose, and give yourself a self-imposed 10-minute “time out.” Take a walk, wind down, and refocus.
  • If you are stuck on a feeling that won’t go away, use Release on the liver and Frankincense on the head.

Suggested Affirmation:  “I let go with ease and grace.”
