“Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.” -Marianne Williamson
In a life full of relationships, there will be many times we need to forgive. When we are bothered by the actions of others in our past, we are filled with anger, hate, resentment, and emotional pain. Forgiveness is a way to release all of those negative emotions from your inner body and begin the healing process.
What Is Forgiveness?
Remember, forgiveness isn’t a one-and-done; it is a constant choice. Did you ever have a time when you thought you forgave someone, and then you were reminded of it years later, and the memory and pain swelled up inside you? You hadn’t forgotten the feeling, meaning you hadn’t forgiven. You need to forgive and be forgiven. Until you can come into harmony emotionally, you aren’t able to forgive.
When we have been wronged we have 2 choices: We can hold on to anger, resentment and thoughts of revenge, or we can forgive and move forward. By embracing forgiveness, we can also experience peace, happiness, gratitude and joy.
Forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing that act that hurt you, but it does lessen the grip that act has on you emotionally, allowing you to focus on the more positive aspects of life. Forgiveness can also foster feelings of understanding, empathy, and compassion.
Forgiveness Essential Oil
This blend helps to release hurt feelings and negative emotions. It also helps release negative memories, allowing one to move past emotional barriers and attain higher awareness, assisting the person to forgive and let go. Forgiveness can be used to release feelings such as betrayal, distrust, repeating the past, and self-denial.
One useful technique is to combine deep breathing while inhaling Forgiveness essential oil. Deep breathing can be as easy as stopping what you are doing and taking a slow deep inhale, feeling your lungs expand and fill up. Then release your breath just as slowly as you took it in. Repeat this two more times.
