When you get your Feelings Kit, you may want to test out your emotional reaction to what you just bought. It is very possible (and normal) that you could have a different emotional reaction than a friend or family member to any of the essential oils, and sometimes they can be very powerful.
After all, science tells us that scent is directly connected to the limbic center of the brain (aka emotions and memories live there)!
Exploring the Feelings Collection
Sit down in a quiet place with a pen and paper, and open each essential oil included in the Feelings Kit. Take 5 deep breaths from each bottle and jot down any emotional reactions or thoughts that pop up to each one.
You may feel overwhelmed, emotional, happy, or you may not experience anything. Anything you feel is OK! It’s all part of the process.
If at any time you feel that the Feelings Kit is too much for you, then you may want to use only one or two of the essential oils, or remove the ones that affect you most powerfully until you are ready.
- The Feelings oils can be worn as a perfume or in the diffuser. They can be massaged into the feet, too.
- You can do this as often as you desire and your schedule allows. The more you can do this, the more it will help.
- You can certainly use one oil at a time or go through all the steps if you have time.
- You don’t need to always use all the oils to have an emotional release.
- There are NO set rules of the order. Do what you feel is right. There is a Feelings Protocol (next lesson!), but it is just a suggestion.
- You may find a release with just Valor. The next time, you may need to use 3 oils. The emotions that have been stored the longest may take a longer time with more oils.
- You should use these oils daily and weekly.
