These three powerhouse ingredients have some incredible benefits. These will protect your eyes from damaging blue light found in our computers, mobile devices, and from the sun. They also help to protect and maintain our eye health and help to increase macular pigment optical density (MPOD). This means it helps lower the risk of age-related macular degeneration, it helps to absorb harmful blue light which in turn protects the photoreceptors in your eyes from further damage, and it helps to improve visual acuity (such as low light reading or small type reading on the back of labels).
Your MPOD can also determine your ability to see contrast in lower contrast situations such as seeing a white airplane in a light blue sky, your glare recovery in situations when you go from dark to light, as well as light sensitivity and visual discomfort when exposed to bright light or sunlight. These ingredients will help reduce eye fatigue and eye strain.
The marigold flower is high in zeaxanthin which has been studied for its remarkable ability to absorb blue light, and its high antioxidant behavior helps to protect tissue from oxidative stress. Marigolds also contain Lutein.
