Why Do We Supplement?

Tara Carlson May 20, 2021
Supplements are exactly what the word means: to add an extra amount of what we are not getting in our nutrition.
Whole-food nutrition is the most important aspect of proper health, and the goal is to get as much of that nutrition as possible from what God has created.
The reality is, the food sources we currently have aces to are very different from those that our grandparents, or even our parents, grew up consuming.
We have massively depleted our soils, but more importantly, even if you are able to get organic, farmer’s market type product and proteins, they are usually picked far before they should be, or the animals are fed from sources that are not ideal.
Did you know most produce is picked about two weeks before it is ripe? Did you also know that often the most vital phytonutrients (plant nutrients) are developed during the last few days of ripening?
We do not get the right vitamins, minerals, microminerals, and nutrients in the everyday food sources we eat. Supplementation is a great way to go, but sadly most supplements are synthetic or so isolated that your body does not know what to do with them, so you end up having the supplements you paid good money for go in one end and out the other without even getting into your system to be used.
What have you noticed from taking YL supplements?
More energy?
Better mood?
Better sleep?
More clarity?
Better body movement?
Better digestion?
All of the above?
